Overview
The Copper Mine is an industrial building of the Bronze Age that drives production: it turns raw materials and effort into the goods, materials, and wealth that the rest of the city is built on.
As a Industrial structure, the Copper Mine belongs to the industrial side of the city. Introduced in the Bronze Age, as metal and trade take hold.
Gameplay
Build cost. Raising the Copper Mine costs 50 Wood and 30 Stone. Plan the spend against your current stockpiles before you commit the plot.
Footprint. It occupies a 2x1 plot, so leave room on the map before you place it.
Height. The Copper Mine is a single-floor building, which keeps its layout simple but makes the surrounding road and service network carry more of the planning weight.
Output. Once built it produces 5 Stone and 0.3 Gold each turn, feeding Gold and Stone into your economy.
Upkeep. It draws 0.5 Food in upkeep every turn whether or not it is producing, so weigh the running cost against the benefit.
