Overview

The Printing House is an industrial building of the Renaissance that drives production: it turns raw materials and effort into the goods, materials, and wealth that the rest of the city is built on.

As a Industrial structure, the Printing House belongs to the industrial side of the city. Introduced in the Renaissance, an age of banks and bold ideas.

Gameplay

Build cost. Raising the Printing House costs 200 Wood and 200 Gold. Plan the spend against your current stockpiles before you commit the plot.

Footprint. It occupies a 2x1 plot, so leave room on the map before you place it.

Height. The Printing House can rise to 2 floors, so its value is not only the footprint on the street but the vertical capacity you can stack above it.

Output. Once built it produces 5 Gold and 1.2 Knowledge each turn, feeding Gold and Knowledge into your economy.

Upkeep. It draws 3 Wood in upkeep every turn whether or not it is producing, so weigh the running cost against the benefit.
