Overview
The Nanofactory is an industrial building of the The Beyond that drives production: it turns raw materials and effort into the goods, materials, and wealth that the rest of the city is built on.
As a Industrial structure, the Nanofactory belongs to the industrial side of the city. Introduced in The Beyond, the era of arcologies and the orbital dawn.
Gameplay
Build cost. Raising the Nanofactory costs 4 Gold, 60 Energy, and 30 Knowledge. Plan the spend against your current stockpiles before you commit the plot.
Footprint. It occupies a 3x2 plot, so leave room on the map before you place it.
Height. The Nanofactory can rise to 4 floors, so its value is not only the footprint on the street but the vertical capacity you can stack above it.
Output. Once built it produces 320 Gold and 6 Knowledge each turn, feeding Gold and Knowledge into your economy.
Inputs. Each turn it consumes 6 Stone (Stone), so keep a supplier in range or its production stalls when the input runs dry.
Upkeep. It draws 28 Energy in upkeep every turn whether or not it is producing, so weigh the running cost against the benefit.
