Overview

The Skilling Camp is an industrial building of the Stone Age that drives production: it turns raw materials and effort into the goods, materials, and wealth that the rest of the city is built on.

As a Industrial structure, the Skilling Camp belongs to the industrial side of the city. Available from the Stone Age — one of the city's earliest works.

Gameplay

Build cost. Raising the Skilling Camp costs 30 Wood and 10 Gold. Plan the spend against your current stockpiles before you commit the plot.

Footprint. It occupies a 2x1 plot, so leave room on the map before you place it.

Height. The Skilling Camp is a single-floor building, which keeps its layout simple but makes the surrounding road and service network carry more of the planning weight.

Output. Once built it produces 0.8 Food and 2.2 Wood each turn, feeding Food and Wood into your economy.

Upkeep. It draws 0.3 Food in upkeep every turn whether or not it is producing, so weigh the running cost against the benefit.
