Overview

The Airport is a commercial building of the Modern Era that powers trade: it draws custom and turns the flow of goods and people into gold and prosperity for the treasury.

As a Commercial structure, the Airport belongs to the commercial side of the city. Introduced in the Modern Era, the age of glass and the wired grid.

Gameplay

Build cost. Raising the Airport costs 3 Gold and 60 Energy. Plan the spend against your current stockpiles before you commit the plot.

Footprint. It occupies a 4x3 plot, so leave room on the map before you place it.

Height. The Airport is a single-floor building, which keeps its layout simple but makes the surrounding road and service network carry more of the planning weight.

Output. Once built it produces 180 Gold, 8 Happiness, and 6 Knowledge each turn, feeding Gold, Happiness, and Knowledge into your economy.

Upkeep. It draws 24 Energy in upkeep every turn whether or not it is producing, so weigh the running cost against the benefit.
