Overview

The Shopping Mall is a commercial building of the Modern Era that powers trade: it draws custom and turns the flow of goods and people into gold and prosperity for the treasury.

As a Commercial structure, the Shopping Mall belongs to the commercial side of the city. Introduced in the Modern Era, the age of glass and the wired grid.

Gameplay

Build cost. Raising the Shopping Mall costs 1 Gold and 25 Energy. Plan the spend against your current stockpiles before you commit the plot.

Footprint. It occupies a 3x2 plot, so leave room on the map before you place it.

Height. The Shopping Mall can rise to 3 floors, so its value is not only the footprint on the street but the vertical capacity you can stack above it.

Output. Once built it produces 80 Gold and 6 Happiness each turn, feeding Gold and Happiness into your economy.

Upkeep. It draws 8 Energy in upkeep every turn whether or not it is producing, so weigh the running cost against the benefit.
