Side quest Industrial Age Coming soon

Hold the Line

Three nights of storm-drones: harvest ore, build walls and turrets around the power plant, and keep the lights on until dawn.

Storm front inbound. Ore field at grid four is unguarded. Recommend: harvest, fortify, keep the lights on.

The City Operator

What it is

A small, approachable defence game. By day, the Ore Crawler hauls glowing Kindlite from the crystal patches to the refinery, and you spend it on walls, Spark Turrets and Thunder Cannons around the power plant. By night, storm-drones come in waves: swarming Brass Gnats, wall-breaking Anvil Drones and Hush Lanterns that dim the turrets near them. Hold out for three nights.

How to find it

When it arrives, the quest will open in the Industrial Age, once a finished Power Station stands in your city. The City Operator, a calm and clipped voice on the line, will make the request.

How to play

  • Pick a piece, and its ghost follows your finger; lift to build it. Tap a piece to upgrade it a mark or take it down for part of its price.
  • Dusk gives you quiet time to build before night falls; Begin night starts it early.
  • If the drones knock out the dynamo, every turret goes dark. Send technician to relight the grid, and watch the lights cascade back on.
  • After the first and second nights, choose one dawn upgrade: a sturdier dynamo, a bigger ore hopper or faster-firing turrets.
  • Lose the plant and the night rewinds to its dusk, exactly as it was, for Try the night again.

Relaxed mode

With Relaxed mode on, nights wait until you press Begin night, and the whole field freezes while you place or upgrade a piece.

Rewards

Surviving the third night unlocks the Signal Pylon, a lattice tower that hums on stormy nights and glows a steady white, plus a one-off gift and a chronicle line.
