Overview

The Market Fair is a commercial building of the Medieval Era that powers trade: it draws custom and turns the flow of goods and people into gold and prosperity for the treasury.

As a Commercial structure, the Market Fair belongs to the commercial side of the city. Introduced in the Medieval Era, the age of castles and guilds.

Gameplay

Build cost. Raising the Market Fair costs 300 Wood and 180 Gold. Plan the spend against your current stockpiles before you commit the plot.

Footprint. It occupies a 3x2 plot, so leave room on the map before you place it.

Height. The Market Fair is a single-floor building, which keeps its layout simple but makes the surrounding road and service network carry more of the planning weight.

Output. Once built it produces 16 Gold and 1.2 Happiness each turn, feeding Gold and Happiness into your economy.

Upkeep. It draws 4 Food in upkeep every turn whether or not it is producing, so weigh the running cost against the benefit.
