Someone left a gate open at the city zoo. A tortoise has reached the bakery, a giraffe is peering into third-floor windows, and a family of penguins is queueing for the metro.

An affectionate nod

This is one of Erapolis's homage events: a fond wink at the city builders and strategy games that came before it, told with Erapolis's own characters and words. Like every homage event, it is optional flavour: one of its choices always costs nothing, and none of them stands in the way of your city.

Making the choice

Events arrive as a card over your city. Pick one of its choices; a choice that needs resources you don't have is greyed out. A building left in ruins does nothing until you tap it and choose Repair, which costs part of its price.
